Here at RunThrough we are always looking for likeminded people to join our community. We always value an extra pair of hands and would love for you to come along and help us! From managing stalls at the event village to handing out medals at the finish, our volunteers are a critical part of what make RunThrough events so special! If you fancy volunteering with us as a volunteer at his event or any of our other events please click HERE

This magnificent house was largely remodelled in 1843 by William Burn and has been the home of the Packe family for 350 years. The first Packe to occupy the Hall was Sir Christopher Packe, later a Cromwellian peer and one of the city men behind Oliver Cromwell, who in many ways were responsible for the efficient functioning of the Commonwealth Government. Knighted at the time of his Mayoralty of London, Christopher Packe was foremost in pressing the ‘petition and advice’ desiring the Protector to assume the title of the King.

Prestwold Hall is still a privately-owned house lived in by a descendant of Sir Christopher Packe and is not open to the general public. The house contains many interesting features including a considerable amount of marbled Italian plaster work, some fine 18th century English and European furniture and a large collection of family portraits from Sir Christopher Packe to the present day.
